Import Data
Upload CSV templates or use the AI Import Wizard to migrate spreadsheet data.
CSV Template Import
Go to Settings > Import Data > Click "Download Template" > Open in Excel or Google Sheets.
Required Columns
name (Item name)
Optional Columns
sku, description, barcode, unit, costPrice, sellingPrice, tags, zones, custom field columns.
Zone Format
Zone Name|Quantity,Zone Name|Quantity
Example: Warehouse A|100,Retail Floor|25Upload your CSV file, click "Validate" to check for errors, fix any issues, then click "Import" to process.
AI Import Wizard
The AI Import Wizard is a chat-based experience that guides you through importing any spreadsheet format.
- Upload your CSV or Excel file — the wizard shows a preview
- AI auto-maps your columns to Stocklyst fields with confidence scores
- Refine mappings via chat (e.g., "Map 'Part No' to SKU")
- Reconcile against existing inventory: create new, merge, or update
- Confirm and import — new units of measure are auto-created if needed
Available during onboarding (step 2) and from Settings > Import Data.
