Import Data

Upload CSV templates or use the AI Import Wizard to migrate spreadsheet data.

CSV Template Import

Go to Settings > Import Data > Click "Download Template" > Open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Note: The downloaded template adapts to your workspace mode. Retail workspaces include Sell Price, Member Price, and Bundle Price columns. Internal workspaces omit those columns and rename Cost Price to Unit Cost. You can still upload a retail template into an internal workspace — sell / member / bundle price values are silently ignored on insert.

Required Columns

name (Item name)

Optional Columns

sku, description, barcode, unit, costPrice (Unit Cost in internal mode), sellingPrice (retail only), memberPrice (retail only), tags, zones, custom field columns.

Zone Format

Zone Name|Quantity,Zone Name|Quantity

Example: Warehouse A|100,Retail Floor|25

Upload your CSV file, click "Validate" to check for errors, fix any issues, then click "Import" to process.

AI Import Wizard

The AI Import Wizard is a chat-based experience that guides you through importing any spreadsheet format.

Upload your CSV or Excel file — the wizard shows a preview
AI auto-maps your columns to Stocklyst fields with confidence scores
Refine mappings via chat (e.g., "Map 'Part No' to SKU")
Reconcile against existing inventory: create new, merge, or update
Confirm and import — new units of measure are auto-created if needed

Available during onboarding (step 2) and from Settings > Import Data.
